Job Description

• The Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for design, build and support of scalable web applications and users interfaces with expertise in a wide range of technical areas, including but not limited to: Web API, MVC patterns, React & JSON Frameworks, jQuery library, JavaScript, C#/Java and SQL databases along with experience in building out Shopify platform-based (or other similar eCommerce platform) web application components. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture & QA teams and help develop web-based software applications for FordDirect and its Customers.
  
  
  Reporting directly to the Director of Application Development, the Full Stack Software Engineer will be part of a UI center of excellence team and help with developing, documenting, communicating, and implementing overall UI/UX patterns, proofs-of-concept, and technology roadmap components aligned with company's business goals/strategy.
  
  
  _Note: this is a contract-to-hire role and will be on-going. Visa support is not available for this role. This is a hybrid role with in-office expectation Tues-Thurs with flexibility including 4 all-company remote weeks / year + a pool of "Flex Days" for use at employee discretion._
• Essential Job Functions:
  1. Build highly responsive and scalable user interfaces and applications using modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
  
  
  2. Implement reusable components that deliver consistent UI/UX across FordDirect' s suite of products
  
  
  3. Develop clean and maintainable code to ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  
  
  4. Design and development of interactions with Web APIs.
  
  
  5. Develop and integrate software applications using suitable development methodologies and standards, applying standard architectural patterns, considering critical performance characteristics and security measures.
  
  
  6. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Software Architects, and Senior Developers to establish the physical application framework (e.g. libraries, modules, execution environments).
  
  
  7. Document Technical design as well as unit tests per requirements.
  
  
  8. Thorough knowledge of Enterprise Code Deployment processes using CI/CD and experience with use of library & code review/security scanning toolsets like SonarQube and JFrog.
  
  
  9. Demonstrate proficiency in version control and collaborative workflows using GitHub, including managing branches, performing code reviews via Pull Requests, and maintaining repository integrity through branch protection rules.

• Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  - Rapid development environment working with Agile or Hybrid methodologies (5+ years)
  - Debugging techniques in interconnected environments
  - Cloud-based web application development experience, Client Azure preferred (3+ years)
  - Web Services development and integration experience (4+ years)
  - Relational database experience with high SQL proficiency (4+ years).
  - eCommerce platform development experience (Shopify experience a plus)
  - Adobe Marketing Cloud experience (AEM, Analytics, Target)
  - AI Coding Assistant experience (GitHub/VB Studio CoPilot or Claude Code or Cursor, etc.)
  - Mobile app development experience a plus
  - JIRA and SharePoint experience a plus
